Troubleshooting

  • My work is not syncing. Check the cloud icon at the bottom right: solid saved, spinning syncing, red offline. When the connection returns, Skrib re-syncs on its own.
  • The canvas moves strangely. Plan, the three dots above the toolbar: set your input device (Auto-Detect, Mouse, Trackpad) and try the Glide toggle.
  • A file did not import cleanly. Word usually keeps headings and bold; PDFs sometimes lose paragraph breaks; Final Draft keeps scenes and dialogue. If a file comes in wrong, send it to us.
  • Companion is not responding. Usually a model rate limit, a project too large for context, or a network hiccup. Try again, switch models in the picker, or start a new chat.
  • A button says “Feature coming soon.” The control shipped ahead of the feature. It is on the list; nothing is wrong with your account.
  • I cannot create a project. The free plan holds 5. Remove one, or upgrade.
  • I cannot find a project. Check the Trash on the right rail. 30 days, one click back.
  • I deleted a draft by mistake. Draft deletion is permanent, so if the dialog was confirmed, it is gone. If any export or duplicate exists, start from that, and tell us what happened; we take this pain seriously.
  • Browser support. Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge. Any modern browser; no native Linux client, none needed.

For anything else, the question mark at the bottom right sends a report straight from the studio, or write to bugs@skrib.com with the project name, what you were doing, and the state of the cloud icon.
